Our speaker for this Forum will be Patrick Tuel, CSI who has been in the waterproofing industry for over 25 years working with and for manufacturers, consultants, architects, distributors and builders. Patrick is a member of CSI (Construction Specifications Institute) and is the CSI East Bay/ Oakland Chapter Past President 2013-2015.  Mr. Tuel has provided waterproofing presentations to various CSI Chapters, Consulting Firms, Specifiers, Architects, Insurance Companies and Builders. Patrick Tuel, CSI is the President/ CEO of the S & K Marketing Group, LLC team, which provides architectural and product representation in California, Nevada and Hawaii.

The topics Patrick will cover will be as follows:

    Window/ Door Flashing Membranes- Air/ Vapor Barriers

  • a.Types of Peel and Stick
  • b.Sill Drainage System (vinyl windows)
  • c.Sill Pan Flashing using Peel and Stick
  • d.Compatibility!! And Sealants
  • e.Substrates (primer or no primer)
  • f.Air/ Vapor Barriers and Thru Wall Flashing
  • g.Recessed window flashing systems (peel and stick; peel and stick/ liquid combination)

    Moisture Drainage and Ventilation for Walls

  • a.Rainscreens (types/ thickness) for Stucco, Wood, Siding & Masonry
  • b.Applications-Remodel, Residential, Multi-Family & Commercial
